Nottingham Housing association (NCHA)
Lisa Raine is working with their contractor and Anglian Water to modify their pumping station. Work starts 15/7/24 to last for 1 week should be complete 22/7/24.
Alison Homes
Lee Pitman Director of Technical for Allison Homes East has confirmed that their sewage is pumped into the sewer in Swinstead Road but is adamant that their equipment is working correctly.
Anglian Water
Patrick Badger Drainage Team Leader Firstly thought that only NCHA were using the sewer in Swinstead Road but then came back and said that all 3 developments were in fact using that sewer. Anglian Water then said that the sewer is in fact 250mm not 150mm as we had observed. Partick badger will contacted to arrange a physical inspection to confirm the diameter of the main drain to take photographs with the attendance of a local witnesses.
SKDC Environmental
After registering an official complaint with SKDC, Tom Ambling-Lightowler contacted me and we had a long chat. He promised feed back about a few thing but I am awaiting his response.
Alicia Kearns
I sent her a copy of the MOM an update showing we were making progress but said I expected her to be busy until after the election. I have also sent a congratulatory email about her election victory. Alicia was heard to mention Corby Glen Smell on local TV
James Moor
Similar to Alicia, but promised help with Tom Ambling-Lightowler regarding planning variations and approvals.
Summary
There is not much to be done at present. NCHA should have finished their modifications by 22 July 2024. I will give SKDC another week to come back with answers to my questions. We will see if we still have a smell after 22 July when the modifications to the NCHA pumping system have been completed. A visit from Patrick Badger of Anglian water needs to be arranged to confirm the size of the main drain.
