RE: CORBY GLEN, STATION RD & BARLEYCROFT RD – PROPOSED WAITING RESTRICTIONS
Lincolnshire County Council recently received a request to investigate potential issues with parked cars on Barleycroft Road obstructing the emergency access to the rear of Corby Glen Primary School.
Site investigations have indeed shown that inconsiderate parking is occurring at this location which could cause access difficulties for emergency vehicles. To remedy this, we are proposing to install a short length of No Waiting At Any Time restriction on Barleycroft Road to cover this access area.
We are also proposing to introduce a length of No Waiting, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, on Station Road to support the existing advisory School Keep Clear marking outside the school. This type of restriction will allow buses and taxis to alight here, unlike a formal School Keep Clear clearway order which would not.
The proposals are shown on the attached plan, and I look forward to receiving any comments you may wish to make. If I do not receive a response by 15th September 2024, I will assume that you have no objections to the proposals.
